6 Months
J,
I cannot believe you are 6 months old today! You are growing so fast, I just want to be able to stop time for a little bit, but I am just savoring every moment I have with you. You have begun to squeal. It is so funny! As I put you to bed tonight, you woke up and just laid there. I went out of the room for a few minutes, and as Daddy was getting ready to lay E down, we heard this awful squeal coming from your room! I opened the door to check on you, and you jerked your head up and turned to towards me with this huge smile on your face. You smile just melts my heart! I picked you up, fed you, and then we laid down together. While I was holding you, you started squealing again. I would look away, and when I would look back, you would squeal. It was hilarious! Daddy and I just laughed.
You have started sitting up...in the past week, you have been sitting for longer periods of time. Daddy and I love to watch you play and interact with your brother. You just adore E and laugh and smile at him all the time, and likewise, he adores you.
Sweet boy, I love watching you grow, and you bring me so much joy that I cannot describe. You are loved beyond words. As we are preparing to celebrate Christmas in the coming days, I am thanking God for giving you to me.
Love,
Mommy

Two and a Half Years Old
E,
I cannot believe that you are already two and half!! You are not supposed to be this old. You are supposed to be the little 6 month old I was holding two years ago, but I love you so much. You are definitely your Mimi's boy! Anytime we get into the car to go somewhere, you always want to go to Mimi's house. You are still a Momma's boy, and I love it. I love the silliness that you have and how you have learned to talk. It's going to break my heart when you start answering "yes ma'am" instead of "o-tay".
You went to see Elmo with Reagan, Amanda, Vivienne, and Mary Franklin last week, and you loved it! Kristena and Chase also sent you an Elmo toy, and you were mesmerized by it for hours. Daddy and I were talking about how you have definitely gotten into Christmas this year. You loved hanging the ornaments on the Christmas tree and have asked for a helicopter and bulldozer from Santa Claus. You also love watching Christmas movies. I love how you just crawled into my lap to go down for a nap today, and how you say "I love you". Oh, you melt your momma's heart, sweet boy!
You also love being a big brother. You like to give J toys to play with and make him laugh. I love watching you talk to your baby brother...especially in the mornings when you tell him "mornin' J", and how you pronounce his name. It is the sweetest sound and is actually one reason why we decided to name him J.
You are 37" tall and around 33 lbs. Such a big boy you are! You are currently into trains, helicopters, airplanes, fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and cars. When we were at the Christmas parade on Saturday, you got terribly excited when you heard and saw the fire truck! You even began making the fire truck sound!
Daddy and I love you so very much! We cannot wait to see what God has planned for your future.
Love,
Mommy

5 Months!
J,
You are already 5 months old, and I can hardly believe it! You are the sweetest little baby boy that I know! You have the most contagious laugh and smile, and it does not take much to get you to smile. Daddy, E, and I love talking to you. E loves being your big brother, and he lays on the floor beside you saying "a boo, a boo, a boo!", and you just smile right back at him. It is so sweet to watch the two of you interact. You are definitely a Momma's boy. If I am in the room, you follow me everywhere I go.
You are beginning to learn to roll over, but have not done so yet. You can sit unsupported for a minute or two, and then you topple to your side. Your newest trick is that you love to lay on your back and grab your feet. You will roll from side to side like this! You also love to just kick and "talk". J, you are a stomach sleeper and have been since you were a month old! I cannot lay you on your back, or you will wake up! You love to suck your thumb, but you take your paci when it is time to go to sleep.
I do not think I can adequately describe how much I love you, and I love you more every day! You are such a joy to our family! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for your future, but I am loving the stage you are at right now and soaking up every minute I have with you!
I love you Sweet Boy!

Lazy Days
Well, my two monkeys haven't been feeling the best this week. E has been running a fever since yesterday, and J has been congested and snotty. Not very fun for their Mommy!! It's nice to have a break from the constant runnings of a two and a half year old sometimes, but not when they are sick! E is just a wild man, plain and simple. He is always on the go. The quietest that you will ever see him is when he is asleep...such peacefulness, and I love it! J, on the other hand, is laid back. He loves to be held, but will also play solo. J loves his big brother very much and laughs at him all of the time! I love seeing the two of them play together...it makes my heart smile.

Welcome to the Blog World
So, I have decided to enter the blog world. I have been reading blogs for a little over two years, but never created my own. I now have two little boys and want to create a scrapbook of their milestones and our daily life! Welcome to Monkeying Around!
